"As a director, Mike guides actors and audiences alike to make their own discoveries within the world he’s built in each show. I have had table work sessions for Glimmer Globe Theatre productions with him where he went through every single line of text with me to further solidify my understanding and inform my performance. Through these rehearsal processes with Mike at the helm, I have come to better understand Shakespeare’s language as a tool that I can wield as an actor rather than the hurdle I once viewed it as. As an audience member, Mike’s way of inviting you in comes across through his staging of classic works; they are always accessible and fresh presentations that still honor, and moreover, enthusiastically embrace the original text. Mike is a natural leader and educator who has brought new and exciting creative outlets and experiences to countless people who would not otherwise have had those opportunities. But his ability to foster connection and inspire others through this art form really sets him apart."

"Michael has a gift for always making anyone he interacts with both professionally and personally feel respected, considered, and valued. He has a wonderful ability to meet any creative at their own level; He clearly communicates complex and thoughtful ideas while still employing a flexible mindset to allow collaboration at every facet of production. Always prioritizing a safe and inclusive environment, Michael strives to create meaningful connection with each person in the room and gently guides his actors to a fuller and more realized performance than they could have brought on their own. Highly organized, well researched and attentive to details, he is able to approach familiar works from new angles, breathing new life and energy into classic pieces. Michael is a singular talent who makes any team or group all the better with his involvement."

"Working with Mike is everything that a creative wants in a director and an actor. His dedication and understanding of any project is something to be admired. His communication style makes it easy to process his vision and bring it to life... Recently, [I worked] with Mike to [stage] the fight between the bear and Orlando in As You Like It as a visual ghost story, with lighting, sound, and puppetry. It is Mike's attention to every detail that makes for a tech production member's dream. Every decision is throughly thought out, and makes the audience experience something to remember."
